This Privacy Policy explains how Stavros Markakis (“I,” “me,” or “we”), a licensed California real estate agent (CA DRE# 02065964) with The Whissel Beer Group, brokered by eXp Realty of California, Inc., collects, uses, and protects information when you visit stavrosmarkakis.com, use its tools, or contact me. stavrosmarkakis.com and its text-message program are operated by Best San Diego Homes LLC, a California limited liability company owned by Stavros Markakis. By using this site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information I collect

Information you give me

When you fill out a form, sign up for updates, or reach out, I may collect:

Your name, email address, and phone number
What you're interested in (for example buying, selling, or a home value) and anything you choose to write in a message
Whether you agreed to receive text messages, along with the date, time, page, and wording of that agreement

The calculators and tools on this site, such as Rent vs. Buy, run in your browser. The numbers you enter into a tool are not sent to me unless you choose to submit a form.

Basic technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the website that referred you
Campaign details from the link you followed (for example “utm” tags that identify an ad or email)
Cookies and similar technologies used by analytics and advertising tools, such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and, when used, advertising pixels from platforms like Meta (Facebook and Instagram) or Google

How I use your information

To respond to your inquiry and provide the real estate information or services you request
To send you follow-ups, appointment details, and market updates you've asked for
To send text messages, only if you've opted in (see below)
To understand which pages, tools, and ads are useful, and to improve this site and my marketing

Text messaging

If you opt in to receive text messages, I use your mobile number only to send the messages you agreed to receive. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that help me deliver messages. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.

Agreeing to receive text messages is never required to submit a form or to work with me.

How information is shared

I do not sell your personal information. I share it only as needed to serve you and run my business:

Service providers that help me operate, such as my CRM and messaging platforms (for example GoHighLevel and Follow Up Boss), website hosting (Cloudflare), email delivery, and analytics providers. They may use your information only to provide services to me.
My brokerage, The Whissel Beer Group and eXp Realty of California, Inc., as needed for supervision, compliance, and recordkeeping.
Others involved in your transaction, such as a lender, escrow, or title company, only when you ask me to or when it's needed to move your transaction forward.
Legal reasons, when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, or property.

The text messaging section above applies to any mobile information and overrides anything in this section.

This site uses cookies and similar tools to measure traffic and, when advertising is running, to measure and improve ads. California residents may request information about how their personal information is used and shared, and may make the requests described above by contacting me. I do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes, and I do not sell personal information.

Retention and security

I keep information for as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, tax, and brokerage recordkeeping requirements. I use reasonable safeguards to protect it, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect their personal information.
